Meet Julie Gagnon-Erickson

Julie Gagnon-Erickson is a successful American entrepreneur and fitness instructor. As the Founder and Owner of Endurance Pilates and Yoga, Julie helps people transform their bodies and better understand the various aspects of health and nutrition.

Personal Life

Born and raised in Westbrook, Maine,  Julie Gagnon-Erickson grew up in an active household. In fact, she is a 3rd Generation Authentic Classical Pilates Instructor and as of 2018, has completed 25 marathons.

 

In 1991, Julie attended Tuft University in Medford, Massachusetts, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English. Her studies continued at Babson College, where she earned her MBA (Magna Cum Laude). During this time, Julie also completed various fitness related certificates and training.

Career

After graduating, Julie Gagnon-Erickson worked as a fitness instructor alongside full time jobs as a Product Manager and later Marketing Director. It was not until 2004 that Julie started her own business, Find Your Form. As a Pilates based corporation, the Find Your Form team developed unique exercise regimens and taught at several studios in the greater Boston area. This experience reinforced Julie’s passion for helping people transform their bodies and minds, and inspired her next venture.

Julie founded her second business, Endurance Pilates and Yoga, in January 2010. With two locations in Boston and New York, Endurance has been named the premier Pilates studio. The team is composed of caring and knowledgeable teachers who provide the highest quality, technically specific, and most beneficial workout for every class. Endurance Pilates and Yoga offers a variety of services, such as Personal Training, Pilates, Yoga, and Bare Boston. The client base is composed of a variety of individuals, from new moms to professional athletes, and everyone in between.

Achievements

Julie is most proud of her work with individuals with differing abilities, including amputees and challenged athletes looking to improve their performance. 

After the bombings at the Boston Marathon in 2013, Julie helped several injured individuals regain movement, strength, and happiness through fitness. Her work with these students has been done on a Pro Bono basis- something she encourages other trainers to incorporate into their business.

Additionally, Julie works with students that have various conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, post-partum, auto-immune disorders, and more.
