Pilates stabilizes and strengthens your core. There are specific yet basic movements such as the 100, Criss-Cross, the Elephant and the Swan to name a few. It may look like simple positions, but they take a lot of control.

Pilates is the art of controlled movements, developed by Joseph Pilates who turned to exercise to ease his battle with asthma and other ailments. Growing up he was an avid gymnast, boxer, and body builder. Originally developed in the 1920s, Pilates was called “Contrology”.
